17. A Quarry, sand or gravel pit

This is Nether Park Quarry, near Drumoak in Aberdeenshire. It’s a sand and gravel quarry.

I claim 3 points because I don’t think any of the machinery visible is a dragline excavator (although happy to be told otherwise!).

I have just added this to the map of places to fly your drone at Drone Scene: [image] Land owner permission requirements unknown. This is a sand and gravel quarry, with lots of machinery for those who like that sort of thing. I parked on the Drumoak side of Park Bridge and walked across. My take off point was next to Keith's Tower, where there is a good view across to the quarry. The originator declared that this location was not inside a Flight Restriction Zone at the time of being flow…
