“Sigh,”

“Fire up the computer lads, some silly bugger has just put a close up of an isolated tower on the thread. One of you will have to study the satellite pictures and check if there is anything within 150 metres”

“No need guv, he’s put the photo showing the surroundings on Drone Scene and posted the close up image in the Challenge thread !”

“FMOBB! When will they learn that we don’t want beautifully composed pictures, we want to see the items that make up the subject and bonuses! Give him his three points then …”

“Sigh …”

Steve, thank you for submitting these beautiful pictures.

Could you also submit them in accordance with the rules?

  1. To enter an item for the Challenge you need to make a post in this thread containing:

Your photo or video - entries should consist of single images unless otherwise specified for the subject being captured
The number and name of the objective it relates to
Which, if any, bonus points relating to that objective you are claiming
The location from where the picture was taken and the aircraft used
The link to the newly published information in Drone Scene (if required as a bonus)
Any other information that has been requested or a link to it

Unless otherwise specified the image must be a still image as it came from the camera,

We are sure your fellow contestants would love to know which aircraft was used as it appears to add a decorative frame to your picture

Mini 2 photo take 23/07/22 at @ 1300hrs
Claiming 4 points.

Sorry about that! :scream: If you’d have typed in Trentham Tower in Google Maps it comes up with the tower (I put the location in as a local guide). You can see its in the middle of nowhere but I would have provided proof if the rules called for it. :innocent:

Thanks for the entry Colin. Before we score your entry can you please point out the Dragline Excavator as we are having a little trouble locating it?
For reference this is the kind of machinery we are looking for

Don’t think they use the big stuff. I’ll find out. I think they use mainly dozers and dredgers. Take a point off if cant confirm.

Thanks for the reply Colin but if its not in the submitted image we cannot award the point. We will input your entry to the system for 3 points scored (minus 1 point for Dragline Excavator):+1:t2:

Paull Holme Tower (Paull Holme Tower - Wikipedia)
Mini 2 23/7/22

16. An isolated tower (NOT a wind turbine tower)

  • No other structure or buildings within 150m.
  • Drone Scene entry

I claim 3 points for:

  • An isolated tower (NOT a wind turbine tower)
  • No other structure or buildings within 150m (The buildings in the background are >150m away according to Google Earth)
  • Drone Scene entry

Cowden Caravan Holiday Park (http://www.cowdenholidaypark.com/)
Mini 2 23/7/22

22. A Static Caravan Site

  • 24 or more mobile homes
  • All pitches occupied
  • 5 or more mobile homes with green roofs

I Claim 4 points for:

  • A Static Caravan Site
  • 24 or more mobile homes
  • All pitches occupied
  • 5 or more mobile homes with green roofs

We cannot allow the claim of all pitches occupied as we have spotted several empty areas where a static caravan will have stood. Site owners often have a policy of only allowing homes up to a certain age and require replacement once the mobile home passes that age. (The site owners are often mobile home vendors too). Hence the empty slabs.

So only three points …

Darn … my eye sight let me down ! Mind you, if I’d used the other side of the site, I’d have missed out on the green roofs point instead!

I claim 2 points for Railway Signal Box and Dronescene entry Where can I fly my drone in the UK? - Errol Station - Everything Else in Scotland

is that better @Challenges_Committee

You know how long it took me to upload that video on 0.3mb upload speed? Sheesh!!!
