I am totally baffled - also totally inspired - by this competition, and by the results and the committment to running it.
Awesome.
I’m going into training to prepare for the next one

For the rest of the year things are somewhat less fraught. We run a Reason To Fly competition where three subjects are drawn at random from a list contributed to by GADC members. They then vote on which of the three subjects will be the basis of the competition. You have a fortnight to produce an image.
The best picture is chosen by a poll of GADC members. This time it is a test of artistic skill rather than your ability to find things. The winner gets …
… Nothing! Except bragging rights and the satisfaction of being judged the best by their peers. RTF resumes in mid-September

3 points for the graveyard. We would possibly have chosen William Day Wills as our famous person, seeing as he has been, at arm’s length, one of the more prolific killers of the last 150 years!
Due to a slight mishap with our main computer system (which seems to have blacked out the entire Swanwick area for a time) we have reverted to our backup until we can get the system back on line.
We must say it has been pleasantly quiet today for a change, no background hum of aircraft to disturb our concentration …

Today was a journey into FRZ territory, which sort of worked (I think I made the zone too small, so had to go get the drone; it wouldn’t come back!)
