Severn Bridge yesterday evening …

This brings back so many memories of my childhood. I grew up in South Wales until I was 6, then we would return there every year to visit friends.

Love the shots Steve.

I remember when they opened the new one.

Best thing they ever did for travel and then now it’s free. I heard the house prices on the Welsh side shot up by 10-15k overnight.

Always wanted to see the mythical wave that goes over the bridge once a year as well. Could have just been something I was told and not actually true though :joy:

@McSteamy2010 This is the sort of photo I was referring to. A very old one of mine (straight out of camera) taken with a Nikon D70 and kits lens many years ago. I did have a framed print of it at one time but my wife ‘disappeared’ it, she counts photos as clutter.

The last one of those I saw was investigating my Mavic Pro when I was flying down in Co. Carlow. It buzzed the drone a couple of times but appeared curious rather than aggressive.

Pleased your drone was admired by the bird :face_with_raised_eyebrow: :grinning:

I had a screen grab of it taken from the video but I can’t find it at the minute :worried:

Is flying beyond VLOS still naughty when the drone is less than 30m away and never went over 3m AGL ?

When the six kids all jump out from playing hide and seek on you it’s naughty, but otherwise no ones going to tell on you

Russell Crow eating suet & mealworm pellets.

It was a rush. Put the food down, move back, let Russell and Cameron swoop in, get camera from bag, set exposure, focus. I made the mistake of being too close so I couldn’t fit all the bird in the frame.

To do this properly I think I need to set up a tripod and camera, pre-focus, put out the food and remotely trigger the shutter. But that’s getting to be a little much to carry on a walk that includes an excited Dogzilla to control as wel
