As a coastal flyer I will only take the bird up to maximum wind speed of 16 knots… I tend to use Ventusky as a guide only but even like the Met Office, nothing is 100% accurate and I just judge it on the day.

Yeah, I agree with you. I’m on the coast and I mostly fly around the coastal area and I am thinking the best way is to judge it on your own initiative.

Ventusky I personally find the best and use ot for different altitudes. But as above, I use my eyes when I get on site

I must agree with these guys, I use UAV Forecast but generally look out the window before setting off.
I did a comparison of a couple of apps with the same parameters in both and there was quite a variation some days but not everyday, hence I stick to UAV and the “window” method.

The best weather app I’ve found of late is your own eyes on the day.

Normally, I’d agree. But, right now, I’m seeing blue sky and sunshine. So there’s a chance I can’t trust them either. :man_shrugging:
