As a coastal flyer I will only take the bird up to maximum wind speed of 16 knots… I tend to use Ventusky as a guide only but even like the Met Office, nothing is 100% accurate and I just judge it on the day.
Yeah, I agree with you. I’m on the coast and I mostly fly around the coastal area and I am thinking the best way is to judge it on your own initiative.
Ventusky I personally find the best and use ot for different altitudes. But as above, I use my eyes when I get on site
I must agree with these guys, I use UAV Forecast but generally look out the window before setting off.
I did a comparison of a couple of apps with the same parameters in both and there was quite a variation some days but not everyday, hence I stick to UAV and the “window” method.
