YouTube and Mavic 3 videos 5.1k - 4k

will be interested with the result, as at the moment dont know if its dji, or power director 365, or youtube fault in why its not showing in 5k

i have noticed that the youtube app for tv, for mobile, and for computers, are all different, ie for viewing in 5k

I guess we now wait and see if they process 5k

(There is loads of similar issues on the GoPro and Insta360 Reddit feeds), deffo a YouTube issue and not the files.

I think they make it up as they go along.

I can’t even see 5k on your previous effort, neither Mac or Windows, Safari or Chrome makes no difference. Even on the Uni network (super fast google based)

yipe and i checked the file it is 5k, its a file taken straight from the mavic 3 sd card, not been edited in anyway and youtube max it out as 4k only?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sRpge_uTFk

YouTube is maxing it out at 4K?

Or your browser and operating system combination are maxing it out at 4K?

I don’t know if this applies to YouTube, but Vimeo state for videos between 4K and 8K they’ll only work on:

Otherwise it defaults to the max your browser/device/OS can support.

Again, that might just be Vimeo, but it’s probably worth confirming either way for YouTube.

pingspike about a month ago i did 5k video’s edited them with power director 365 (which is limited to 4k) and uploaded to you tube and the came up as 5k and played on youtube did that with 4 or 5 videos then it stopped 4k only. i thought i could have been a dji mavic 3 update may have screwed it up, then i thought maybe it was a power director update that may have done it… but the last two files ive uploaded came straight of the mavic 3 sd card and uploaded to youtube and 4k only .

It’s defaulting to 4K…adjusted the white balance just to see how it will render…

looks cleaner and sharper but cant understand why youtube doesnt see it as 5k.
can almost do a rivet count on the wheel lol

even at 4k you can still see the quality in the mavic 3 camera!!!

Njoro i bet your itching for a full mavic 3 5k dlog video to edit lol.

this video is still saying its Processing HD so it may still hit 5k

Too right please, I really want to see how the editor will cope when it’s pushed, it didn’t do too badly with the Normal clip straight but need to drop it down to 1/2 quality. I’ll have a look at the GPU setting, there’s other work arounds to do first before adding transitions and sound to enable smoother editing of video effects.

5k rendering does make your pc work hard lol. I upgraded my desktop in order for it to cope lol
