The image may not specify it directly that FCC mode changes it however I have watched a ton of videos regarding it on the Avata 2 and it is supposed to increase the limit.

Are you based in the EU?

United Kingdom, DJI counts the UK as in the EU with the restrictions.

No, it doesnā€™t we donā€™t follow EASA, we are CAA and are not limited to C1 regulations

The way the Avata 2 firmware works is that it locks it to the EU speeds if you are not inside the US. Iā€™ve attempted the speeds yesterday.

And yes it is legal

But using FCC is not legal

I assume its not legal unless i have a ham license?

I wouldnā€™t know if a ham licence allows you to use the higher power frequencies

What speed did to achieve and with what controller?

I got around 2.5m/s below the EU max (on dji specs) using FPV Controller 3 on manual mode

Not sure why you are only getting that speed, are you sure you werenā€™t in sports mode :man_shrugging:

As I said in the UK we are not restricted by EASA rules

I will have to test it out tomorrow as I have unlocked it now. Thanks for the help as the articles online mainly just said that drones were only allowed to go 42.5mph

Hi @ArtificialAI, it looks as though youā€™re quite new here :wave:t2:

Why not nip over to the Introductions page, and say hello properly and tell us a bit about yourself. :+1:t2:

I didnā€™t read it fully however this is one that I interpreted to mean it was 42.5mph.

Iā€™ll have to double check my settings and see if anything is out of place.

UK Drone Classification System

As of January 1, 2024, the UK will have new rules for drones. These rules will require all new drones to meet certain standards and be classified into one of four categories: C0, C1, C2, or C3.

The classification will be based on the weight and capabilities of the drone and will determine how and where it can be flown.

That article is incorrect the UK did not follow EASA

Follow the Drone Code
