It has arrived.
Check out the update and we now have Max horizontal speed mode like we all wanted!
You sound quite pleased
How will you be using that setting @Bilbo ?
I did mine last night but have not tested it as yet. As I am mainly shooting stills it will be great for fine tuning the drone position. But the potential for buttery smooth videos will be a lot easier
I’m hoping to go into a museum near me once they have decided if it is worth doing a video of the place, which would include indoor flying in small areas, so a difficult task especially as the GPS will like as not be useless there - and to have a really slow speed available could be very useful.
Paul.
Excellent use case! Thanks for sharing
A quick word of warning. After the latest update, do not set the braking speed too low. If it is, your drone will fly into things it shouldn’t. I speak from a shocking experience this morning. Set it on cine mode and took everything slow. Was trying this moving backwards whilst zooming in on the camera effect. The drone detected a wall behind it, but as I’d set the braking speed too low, it continued and made contact with the wall. Luckily no drone was harmed in this short lived experiment ( thought I’d snapped one of the rear arms, but it had simply folded back into the drone ) A heart stopping moment. ps, tested it afterwards and everything is fine.

Can also confirm that the FCC hack has been successfully applied after the latest updates.
Thanks Mark for confirming
Nice one @markas
Which FCC modding method did you use?
I’m using the Sincoder one on the DJi RC.
I’ve just done the latest update and the aircraft firmware has updated but the RC firmware hasn’t, was the latest update supposed to update the RC too ? checked for new updates and says it’s up to date, the setting haven’t changes either in the gain / expo tuning, any advice on what to do ?
I’d try switching everything off and back on, mine downloaded the Aircraft and RC firmware at the same time. Looks like your app version is also out of date, mine is showing 1.9.8
What I’d do is switch the RC on with the drone turned off, make sure wifi is connected and then from the home screen hit connection guide in the bottom left then enter camera view in the top right and then head to the about and press check for updates.
@markas thank you for the reply, I’ve tried all those already and no luck, might try connecting RC to laptop / Dji site / support to see if it picks any updates up.
Strange, have you got the DJi Assistant, hopefully that might help.
@markas says V01.02.0400 is the latest one, just reinstalled it and still same, I’ll try refreshing the drone firmware and report back
@SparkyFPV thanks for the link but that was my first port of call (thanks Ian in LDN) , just refreshed the drone firmware and still the same, must have a duden.
It is DJI poor Firmware updates, I always say don’t update till all the bugs have gone
