Ive added this thread for questions about foam glider conversions as I can see we are all going to have alot of questions about this and will probably throw Steves @Steviegeek thread off. Ask any questions relating to his build thread in here :+1:t2:

BTW, I’ve found that if you search there are a lot of places supplying these gliders.

There also appear to be two sizes. I think we need the larger one.

Similar. Doesn’t really matter though as long as it flys. Mine is 17 inch wingspan?

Probably best to get some uhu por glue too. Great for sticking foam planes

So probably the first of many stupid questions from me but where is the best place to fix the battery? And what size batteries would be best?

Yeah but for the same price you can get 8 from Karls link so plenty of spares for crashes or cockup in the building process :star_struck:

@Earwig I have some spare motors if you want a couple to help cut cost? Theyre 2205 2300kv though so abit bigger than what Steve is using :grimacing:

Cheers. I’m in the very fortunate position that the cost isn’t actually a problem, which is in danger of becoming a problem in itself because I’m constantly telling myself, “well it’s not like I can’t afford it”.

I’m just trying to be more mindful of what I’m spending on. :innocent:

When i cut out the leds, i cut a space for a 2s lipo. I only had 2s to 4s esc so mines had to be 2s as i have no small 3s.

I will suggest to anyone to get the cofg before you start chopping it up. And dry place your bits to make sure it is only slightly nose heavy. I didn’t do this.
