Today’s weather started off grim, but cleared up towards the afternoon. I headed out in search of a few ancient hillforts that I haven’t been to before.
Chisbury Hillfort … the Mini 3 Pro got caught in the wall of rain before I could land
Danebury Hillfort … I have been wanting to shoot this hillfort for a while, but sods law, it was within a temporary FRZ, so this is as far as I could get. I will return soon.
I then met up with @Kirky Richard for an afternoon with the drones atop Beacon Hillfort. I’ve been there before, so I knew about the steep path to the summit. It’s not the easiest, and we were both glad when we got to the top.
Beacon Hillfort is part of the Neolithic network of hillforts in southern Britain. All within sight of each other, lighting a “beacon” to let the next hillfort know trouble is approaching.
From the summit, it provides great access to Highclere Castle, aka Downton Abbey.
Portrait for @PingSpike because he loves them
