Got out two nights ago and only just getting around to looking at what I snapped - after finding two of my ‘regular’ haunts now closed off I frantically wondered where I could get to before it was too dark (couldn’t find my Cree’s)…

Ah yes, Ogmore Castle and its river…

Loved this shot in the blue hour where it appeared the river was tongue of flame.

And this slightly earlier shot of the castle itself:

Hoover building London, some of it now apartments, took this picture a while ago for industrial RTF but changed my mind.

The Hoover Building is a Grade II* listed building of Art Deco architecture designed by Wallis, Gilbert and Partners located in Perivale in the London Borough of Ealing. The site opened in 1933 as the UK headquarters, manufacturing plant and repairs centre for The Hoover Company

Same beach, 2 hours apart. Apparently rare to have snow on Islay. There was plenty of liquid warmth to be had however

King Alfred’s Tower in Somerset, taken with my Mini 3 Pro on Sunday.

Unfortunately, the tower was shut, so I couldn’t walk up the 200 steps to the top to snap my “High as Kite Aerial Image” for one of February’s challenges.

This triangular tower, two miles north-west of Stourhead garden, was designed by Henry Flitcroft for Stourhead’s second owner, Sir Henry Hoare II. The Tower is named after King Alfred who raised his standard here in 870. The tower commemorates the accession of George III in 1760 and the end of the Seven Years’ War.
