Well done mate. I suppose I’m gonna have to get back out again with mine now .
Interesting with the props. I’ve found the mas props give a little more top end.
Each to their own though

Well done Martin That is some speed!
Agreed. The only thing I like about them is the colour, handy for locating the drone after ditching it
Too early to tell yet mate. To be fair, it was 1.1 km away and at 19 metres altitude … with a forest between me and the drone. It was the top pin below. Because I had no map, no recorded flight path, I only had landmarks on the camera to navigate. Hence, I ballsed it up, thought I was landing in my TOAL field, but was actually landing 1.1 km to the north
The main gripe I have at the mo is that with Atti mode on there, there still seems to be GPS positioning kicking in at 67.91 mph, and effectively slamming on the brakes. I have now swapped Atti mode for Manual mode, as that should not have GPS positioning at all
Not a bad first flight of the Air 3 though
Yeah need height if trees, etc! and tbh get higher and the wind “cleaner”
Still congrats, sure more in it!
May have had an “Avata” run today, for the “bank”
That was the run with the MAS props in similar conditions… so… dunno!
Should have set the speed record at say 5mph first up
But now I can safely say, WOW.
Pissing down with rain, 38 mph wind, low cloud, send it … no issues
Still capped at 67 mph though, very weird
One that might never be broken then haha!
I do know the DJI FPV won’t report over 99mph in the OSD…only when you get it on air data you see it. Maybe airdata/DJI not properly support the air 3 yet?
What is the range like?
It’s not the data that’s wrong with the Air 3, I can physically see it braking at 67 mph. I don’t understand why, as with atti mode on, GPS positioning should be off. Yet, that is exactly what it feels like. Very odd.
I went out to 20,000 ft, absolute shit weather … 5 bars. Amazing.
Ahh okies. Then they setting a true limit aren’t they… Interesting…
That’s what it feels like. Hoping that Sincoder or Drone Hacks will overcome it.
User error that
Until then clink, we have a few updates for the board. Sort your friends in the committee out
I’ve also tried disabling GPS altogether, which has worked on previous DJI drones, but not on this one.
Setting fswitch
to 0 (aka manual mode) does not work.
DJI may well be cottoning on us
Maybe it is just the new controller / hack?
Say’s the man who failed to show at a meetup that he asked for.
Good shout.
I bow in shame but it’s the tumbles fault
