New Feature :star_struck:

• Good 2 Go updated to support the new UK drone regulations in advance of 1st January 2026

The many (many!) changes to the Civil Aviation Authority drone regulations are nearly upon on us and the question everyone is asking is, “How does this affect me and the drones I fly?”

You’ll be pleased to know that you can now answer that question yourself using the fully updated Good 2 Go

Good 2 Go is now in Public Beta. This means you can finally get your hands on the version our @beta-testers have been using for the last few weeks.

If you’d like a quick recap of all the changes that come into effect on 1st January 2026 you can check out the two summary videos at: UK Class Marks and Remote ID: What you need to know for 1st January 2026

Or, if you just want to dive right in, check out the Public Beta at:

The first immediate change you’ll notice is a new list of EASA Class Marked drones.

  • The fake DJI Mini 6 Pro with a UK0 Class Mark is in there solely for testing UK class marks when they arrive next year.

If you have a Class Marked drone which is not in the list, please send us the make and model, and include a photo showing the location of the Class Mark and we’ll get it added for you.

If you have any questions about your Good 2 Go results please post them in the dedicated thread at: Questions about your Good 2 Go results? Post them here!

And remember, Good 2 Go no longer supports the 2025 regulations.

UI / UX Change :desktop_computer:

• Updated app logos and icon suites

Drone Scene is a Progressive Web App.

This means you can save a shortcut to the home screen of your Android or Apple device and it will install itself and behave just like a native app from the app store.

We’ve updated the logos and icon suite when Drone Scene is used in its PWA form.

If you have Drone Scene installed or saved on the home screen of your device, please remove it.

You can then re-install / save a new shortcut to your device home screen to pick up the new logos and icons:

UI / UX Change :desktop_computer:

• Changed the Home button (on mobile)

When using a mobile device it isn’t immediately obvious that the words Drone Scene in the top left corner of the navigation bar are a clickable link, designed to take you back to the home page.

We’ve replaced the Drone Scene words with a clickable home icon:

Other Random Stuff :palm_tree:

• Cyber Essentials Certified and Certified Plus awards

Grey Arrows Drone Club was recently awarded both Cyber Essentials Certified and Cyber Essentials Certified Plus status under the UK Government’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) scheme, making it the only model flying association in the United Kingdom to hold both certifications.

Our assessment was carried out by an independent, external, government-approved auditor, with the scope covering the whole organisation — all operational, technical, administrative, and governance activities. This broad scope is particularly important, demonstrating that security is embedded throughout every part of the club’s operation.

We have added the publicly available blockchain details of our certifications to the /privacy page.

• Added a list of insured European countries

We recently extended our insurance cover for Gold Members to include flying in Europe, at no extra cost

Some members asked if the extension was only valid for EU member states.

For clarity, we have added an extensive list of countries where our Gold Members are now fully insured to fly.

The list of included countries is available on our insurance details page at: https://dronescene.co.uk/drone-public-liability-insurance
