Cheers Russ👍. Don’t think I’m in the beautiful category yet but I’ll keep having a go🤣.
Éire 70 sign
Taken with DJI Air2s
05/09/2023
The signs were meant to identify the land for pilots crossing above it—Éire is the name of the country in the Irish language. Each one was numbered, too, and they became navigational aids for British pilots. (Though officially neutral, in practice, Ireland favoured the Allies.)
Taken at the Humber bridge meet on Sunday 11th September.
A little late to the party as I’ve had a busy few days.
Here are a couple of shots I managed to get that looked half decent of the sunrise.
I dont really fly as much with the Mini 3 as I should but this meet made me realise I should invest a little more time.
I was on me way to another location last week early doors when I spotted Darwen Tower in the distance and thought ’ I’ll have to get a sunrise shot of that in a couple of week’s’. Anyhow every corner I turned the thing was getting closer and closer (a few KM) until the urge got me.
‘Parked’ literally in a ditch at the side of the A675 just to get the car off the road, drone out, flew over and got back with 8 pc battery .
I think It was worth it though, the pic’s put a smile on this grumpy old gits face
Hit the green button Ady
North Yorkshire at it’s finest, beautiful day with the fluffy clouds and green rolling fields near the Biker’s Cafe nr Sherburn in Elmet, DJI Air 3 with nd16 filter, wide panoramic
You mean squires, was my second home back when i had the bike’s, fantastic shot btw
Yes sorry, my mind went blank as I was typing lol, took a video too, will upload when I get a chance, thanks
Done👍
First flight with the Air 3, overlooking Leigh, not sure what settings I had it on lol I just wanted to fly it lol
How did you find it flying the AIR3?
Loved it I just need to sort out all my settings. Didn’t really have a lot of time flying as a police helicopter was flying around at my altitude.
So we are at tinvilla in Skegvegas n i thought sod it have a cheeky fly about

Had a little run up to Belmont reservoir which I’d been wanting to check out for a while. It fall’s in an SSSI area of the West Pennine moors.
It turned out better than what I was expecting, lovely little place
I launched from two sites, both on public land. On the second, while I was flying I heard the the sound of a vehicle pulling up behind mine, which I was leaning against.
“You can’t fly that drone here, bring it down immediately” I heard. “It’s Illegal” He was quite irate and I defo didn’t like his tone of voice
I turned to my left and stood there was a United Utilities guy
Here we go again I thought …
Anyway, after landing the Air2s, having finished taking snap’s , I got me butties and flask out on the bonnet and had a little word in his shell like, ending up with me launching the Air2s again, even though I’d finished, right in front of his eye’s and telling him to jog on, and don’t interrupt me whilst flying. He looked stunned He took his wide brimmed safari hat, his attitude and his gleaming Land Rover discov and toddled off
To me, I hadn’t done naff all wrong, TOAL was from public land and I hadn’t disturbed any wild life that the rush hour A675 wasn’t disturbing already.
Job done
Give it another few years mick and it will be even closer
